" You find yourself within a snow-smothered forest entranced by the depths of winter. Searching, only you know what you are looking for. A friend? Shelter? Or even simply a source of food? Despite your motives you begin to realize, somewhere, there is a smell present. It is something which you cannot directly make out where it comes from, but there is definitely a scent of a small pack and a few other distant smells which don't seem to belong to the overwhelming scent of a group.
There's also the 'taste' of the air that entices you into roaming deeper into these woods. A hidden whisper of the secrets that lie beneath, a full richness to the air speaking of things you can't truly understand. Things which you may not have even thought of feeling or seeing, something which you can only call divine.
Now, you loner of undreamed origins, it is your call. Shall you approach the origin of the group scent... or favor to find out more about those other smells, about those other looming loners? "
REVOLU
'Stand tall for our revolution!'
Revolu is a Discord-based group that wants to change the direction of the wolf-styled role plays for the better. For years now, even back in 2015, there was a stigma for groups to be easy to join and enter - free, without a plot to be led by and to just make it interesting by quickly made characters interacting. I don't exactly know if you've realized what has been working, since it still continues in 2019.. four years after, but it doesn't work. There, I stated it. Those kinds of role plays don't work. And.. why is that?
Because there is no interest nor focus to keep the group alive through the quieter months.. to remain steady. Role playing has become a quick tension reliever and characters are made like drugs for junkies. There's no depth to them, no real function behind their actions in any sort of way other than to simply look cool. And, to those whom see the curse those role plays are? Your characters aren't cool.. not cool at all.
Revolu, a revolution both within its' plot and the way it wants to stand for how role plays should start being if you want that permanent group. You make those small packs on a whim, with a lot of ranks and then put no extra effort in aside from adding into the rules for there to be 'no drama' which happens anyways. You then complain when your quickly made batch of cookies not properly baked fail to taste the way they were supposed to in your head.. when they fail and the members interest leaves.
And for those who join these failed cookies. Just what were you expecting with your quickly made characters? Depth? Intrigue? A romance or something dirtier under the sheets...? Because you, you my friend are on a spiraling cycle into a lack of interest in role playing any more. Why? Because there is no creativity in those quickly made wolves. No love in the batter you mix that is their personalities and no ambitions. They have no family aside from a sexual interest and either being flirty, super 'kawaii', or edgy. It doesn't work.
..So, why are you reading this rant-looking introduction? Because you want to change. You want to join a group that isn't made to quickly pop in and pop out. You want your character to be born, live, and grow into something so deep that it is practically real except for the factor that there is no heartbeat in it. You want interesting plots that make you gasp when something carefully hinted at jumps from the darkness at you. When your character makes grave consequences and suffers deeply for it.. to learn from it, and grow from it- or to be childish? Then join Revolu. For that, my friend, is all we wish for you to experience in our quality over quantity community.
So, prospective member. You want to understand a little bit about what in the hell is going on in this group on top of the plot and everything, huh.
Well, the general idea is that your character is walking into the general area of the main group-turning-pack formation that is Revolu. Currently, the full group size stands at five adults and three minors in a temporary base. However, three more have began to near the group and there is an interaction currently in progress.
There will be a time skip soon of them heading to a beach region which the 'leader' Grimoire has settled on for raising the three minors, where your character will plausibly be introduced. However, when I am stating this, I'd like for you to realize you're barely scraping the most vanilla of what this group hides. All the characters have different relationships with each other and there is different motives. On top of the next thing I will discuss.
Revolu holds a strong religion that comes (taken with permission) from a role play called Solani, and me, one of the group's admins. The main ideal is that there is a lot of Gods, demons, and otherworldly forms that roam the whole of everything that exists within Revolu. These otherworldly forms are called 'Divines' within the pack, and the Gods that are interacting with the group now.. are not the only ones that exist.
The conflict the group eludes itself with now is that Nomang's Goddess, called Mother Nature (also known as Akatsi) has 'revived' a dead follower of one of Solani's Gods in desperation to save her closest follower's life and her children's life.. which, with a certain conflict not yet told, leaves her weak with not a lot of strength as she has followed only one of her followers.. as well as taking up the revival and continuous revival of a dead follower to a different God. A God specifically that, is not too pleased with how his follower has rejected him to turn to 'life' he was not gifted personally by his God. One that has rejected his whole entire pack's afterlife to help with a new pack.. Daxon, also known as Dax.. one whom takes in his own revolution.
This excludes the demons that may not be too happy with a certain newly formed pack attempting to take up their territory permanently. Territory that they have held for thousands and thousands of years. Now, in Revolu, 'demon' does not mean the same thing that it does in real life. This will be explained in more details in a different thread. However, don't see all of them as particularly malicious. Well.. not until their territory has been messed with.
...Whew. Yeah, I know. It's a crazy as hell plot and yeah.. it's pretty stressful to keep things on track sometime. Lol.
Time for tags to use on the group! They make everything so simple to read... like my character's bios that took three trillion years to clean up.

Loners in the Pack: There are multiple loners roaming around the group, some more dangerous than others.
Rankless: There is no sort of ranking in Revolu.
Four months old: Our group has existed and has been steady for 4 months!
Semi-realistic: The colors of the characters must be realistic, although the pattern doesn't have to be entirely realistic, you can get a bit creative with that. One thing you want to avoid completely is neon colored characters, that simply does not fit. The personality of your character will be closely related to how humans feel. However, having a humanized personality does not mean that you cannot have wolf insticts. Despite your personality being able to be linked back to humans, you are still a wolf.

Religious Themes: Will be described in another post.. I'm revising the information.
Complex Characters: Characters with their own visible personality, quirks and eventual character development tend to be strived for. They have deep rooting backstories and are carefully written, making them stand out in their own way. If you are working with disorders, whether it be physical or mental, please do try to research it as best as you can before applying it to your character. You want to be able to understand what your character is going through, how they feel and how they think.
Literacy of all kinds: We are all willing to assist in others growing their writing skills. Not being good at spelling or grammar is perfectly fine! So is small posts. The only requirement is that you strive to improve so that you are not dragging behind a roleplay because of your slow posts or ones lacking detail.
