Cade, though a northern grey, is a bit larger than average at a little over 3ft tall (at the shoulders). He's a mass of grey, white, and black fur without much of a pattern. His face, and most of his head is entirely black. His eyes, as stated elsewhere, are a bright blue, bordering on iridescence. A color which aids low light hunting. Being from the north, he is impervious to cold, wet and most wolf claws (at least on his body, tail, and neck). Slightly larger paws give him a grip advantage and striking advantage during fights with heavier hits by his limbs. His thick fur hides a fit body with little fat; due to this, he doesn't swim well (despite those paws) and doesn't much like getting into water (or being pushed in) unless he can stand in it. Large canines (only slightly larger than average, only noticable when attention is brought to that fact)) ensure that most prey never escape to freedom, and that it WILL hurt if they find an enemy flank during a fight.

Back-story & related info:
He was born to the Sentinel pack by a white female wolf and black sire. Unfortunately for the new family, Kincade was the only pup of the litter to survive the birthing. He, like most pups, was born entirely black with blue, sightless eyes. His family adored their lone survivor. For a while.
A few months into his pup-hood, it had become clear that their pups eye color, nor the color of the fur of his head we're changing into normal colors. The elders had already been wary, as he was the lone survivor of the quartet of pups born to his mother.
It was a slow change, but an obvious one. He was no longer permitted to play with his age-mates by the adults, which eventually caused them to use him as a target for their 'games'.. nor feed with the pack, subsisting on the scraps his mother was able to smuggle him. As bad an omen as Cade was, it was apparently worse to kill him outright, angering the demon alpha further.
Eventually, being an outcast, but reliance, at least for a while, on the pack for survival, he learned to fight, and to hunt on his own, without the pack. He didn't have a choice. The scar on his side is a reminder of one such fight that nearly killed him.
He doesn't share this story willingly, as he is relatively untrusting. Can you blame him? He despises his appearance, even now, and will occasionally glare at himself in the water until he can't take it any longer.
His hereditary appearance is considered a bad omen for one reason, a many-generations-back grandfather. He was, simply put, a powerful, but horrible alpha. Decisions made in his rule, nearly wiping out the pack. It is feared, in his natal pack, that the demon alpha will make his return and seek revenge on those that overthrew him in the end, and once again decimate, or worse, eliminate, the pack.
